Greenville County authorities are investigating the death of a woman who was taken to hospital from the scene of a fire in a neighborhood near White Horse Road, Thursday morning.
Firefighters told Sheriff's Deputies the woman was one of four people outside when they arrived at the house on Gethsemane Drive around 4:30 a.m.
Although their report says they found no evident burn injuries, the woman was unresponsive and pronounced dead shortly after reaching the hospital.
An autopsy is ordered and cause of the fire is also still under investigation. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, as of the time of this report.
