An investigation is ongoing after a fatal shooting in the Upstate over the weekend. The Pickens County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting around 10 PM Saturday night at the intersection of Old Shirley and Sheriff Roads in Central.
Upon arrival, they found a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. The 22 year old man was airlifted to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Investigators believe the shooting to be an isolated incident that happened after an argument between two people.
The Sheriff's Office says, the suspect fled the scene but has been identified. The suspect remains at large as of the time of this report. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
