The Highway Patrol is investigating another fatal case of an out-of-control vehicle leaving an Upstate roadway. The accident happened shortly after midnight about a mile west of Mauldin.
A 2020 Chrysler Pacifica ran off of Conestee Road near 3rd Street. It hit a sign and a utility pole then struck the corner of a house and crashed into a couple of vehicles in the driveway.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner's office has not yet released the victim's identity.
