One person is dead and nearly a dozen more are injured after a mass shooting over the weekend, in North Carolina.
WXII TV in Winston-Salem reports that the Catawba County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a loud party at a house in Hickory, around 11PM.
Less than 2 hours later the Hickory Police Department responded to the same place after a reported shooting. Officials say 12 victims in total were shot, one of them was pronounced dead at the scene. He's been identified as 58 year old, Shawn Hood of Lenoir.
11 others were injured, one was said to be in critical condition as of Sunday evening. More than 80 shots were fired in the incident. The victims range in age between 16 and 57 years old.
No arrests have been made as of the time of this report. Local, state and federal agents are working together to investigate the shooting.
