A suspect is in custody after a shooting in Greenwood left one person dead over the weekend. The Greenwood Police Department responded to the area of Balsam Lane around 9AM, Saturday.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who was dead at the scene from a gunshot wound. The Greenwood County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 24 year old, Johnny Frank Covington III.
The suspect was identified as 26 year old, Knocalon Dan-Uwa Graham was taken into custody for murder and a weapons violation. Graham was arrested after a traffic stop and a search of his home was executed.
