A monday night shooting in the lowcountry leaves over a dozen injured.
According to police, 10 citizens and 3 law enforcement personnel were injured following gunfire in downtown Charleston just after 11:30pm last night at a late night party.
Following the incident, Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg said in a press conference "we're counting our blessings that no one in this incident was killed."
Four of the 10 injured were reported to be in critical condition in the hospital. One of the injured was a teenager, but the other 9 were all adults.
The responding officer were not hit by gunfire but rather by shrapnel, and two deputies were assaulted while attempting to control the crowd.
