Pair of suspects from Salem accused of burglary

Two Oconee County men with documented criminal histories are facing charges in connection to a burglary at an Upstate home, earlier this week.

The Clemson Police Department says a home there was burglarized on Tuesday. Two suspects, 26 year old Damion Austin Davis and 20 year old Gage Jack Stewart, both from Salem, were arrested the same day.


Investigators say several items, including multiple guns, were stolen from the home. Stolen guns and drugs were seized during the arrest.

Davis is charged with possession with intent to distribute meth 2nd offense, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance,2nd degree violent burglary, possession of a stolen pistol, criminal conspiracy and a weapons violation.

Stewart is charged with 2nd degree violent burglary, possession of a stolen pistol, criminal conspiracy, a weapons violation and property damage.

Stewart was arrested back in late May on a charge of receiving a stolen gun.
