A pedestrian is dead after being by a car on an Upstate highway. The collision happened around 7:20 Thursday night on Highway 11 near Long Branch Road in Spartanburg County.
Lance Corporal Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says, that the pedestrian was in the roadway on Highway 11 and was hit by the driver of a Honda sedan. The driver of the Honda was not injured, the pedestrian died at the scene of the crash.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released and the crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
