A pedestrian is dead after a collision in Anderson. The crash happened around 11 PM near Whitehall Road and Pearman Dairy Road. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2025 Kia sedan hit two pedestrians who were in the roadway.
The Anderson County Coroner says 24-year-old Tyheim Pickens was killed while he and another person were trying to fix a tire. A preliminary investigation found that Pickens had been involved in an earlier crash that disabled the vehicle he was traveling in.
The second pedestrian was taken to a hospital for treatment. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. The coroner has ruled Pickens' death accidental.
