One person is dead after a vehicle collided with a pedestrian in the Upstate, Wednesday morning . The crash happened just after 8AM in a private parking lot in the 5400 block of Liberty Highway about 2 miles from Anderson.
Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway of the South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the pedestrian was walking in the private parking lot and was struck by the driver of a Kia SUV.
The pedestrian was taken to Anmed Hospital and later died there. The driver of the Kia was not injured. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
