Details have emerged in the case of a man from the Pee Dee, accused of gunning down a New Mexico trooper and the carjack-murder of a well known area paramedic.
33 year old Jaremy Smith was wanted after allegedly shooting and killing a New Mexico State Trooper. He was later located by police and was taken into custody after a chase and a shootout.
The vehicle Smith was in came back stolen and led authorities to the body of a woman who had been missing. The victim was identified as Florence paramedic Phonesia Machado-Fore.
