(GREENVILLE, SC) – Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have charged 29 year-old, Demarius Marquez Davis in connection with the residential shooting that occurred earlier this morning on Echo Valley Drive.
Deputies received the initial 911 call shortly after 5:00am regarding gunshots that came into a residence. A short time later another homeowner on Still Hollow Lane called about a man beating on his door. Deputies arrived to set up a perimeter and ultimately located the person of interest who was seen on the homeowner’s camera system.

That person, identified as Demarius Davis, has since been charged with Discharging a firearm into a dwelling, Unlawful carrying of a pistol, Possession of a weapon during a violent crime, Trafficking cocaine and Malicious injury to personal property.
During the course of the investigation, investigators learned Davis was involved in drug related activity that occurred at a location not far from where the homes were struck and following that activity Davis left from that location and committed the above crimes for reasons investigators are still trying to sort through.
Investigators have learned that one homeowner’s house was struck by gunfire and another person’s home suffered broken glass after Davis struck their window with the gun that has since been recovered. The victims were not involved in Davis’ initial drug-related activity but were rather innocent bystanders to his actions. Fortunately no injuries were suffered from the incidents.
Davis is currently in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
