A weekend house fire in one the Upstate's prominent lakeside communities left a family pet dead. Firefighters responded to a house fire in the Marina Bay Community on Lake Keowee, Saturday morning.
Crews from the Seneca and Friendship Fire Departments were called to the scene. Firefighters were able to extenquish the blaze after the home suffered significant damage.
Officials say no people were injured, but a pet died in the incident. There's been no word on what caused the fire, as of this time.
