A Pickens County Deputy has been fired after being arrested by Easley Police over the weekend. In a FaceBook video Pickens County Sheriff Tommy Blankenship addressed the issue.
The Sheriff said on the night of the arrest, he went to the Easley Police Department, reviewed evidence and charges and immediately terminated the deputy's employment.
Blankenship also requested SLED to conduct an additional investigation. The deputy has not been publicly identified and Easley Police have not yet released charges. The video from Blankenship is below
