A pilot avoided disaster and major injury after his plane crashed in Greenville. The plane crashed Sunday near Wade Hampton High School. Various emergency crews responded to the scene
The pilot was flying from Aiken when an engine failed. The pilot says he got clearance to land at the Downtown Airport but was unable to make it there. He was able to miraculously land in the plane on some trees in residential neighborhood, the pilot walked away with minor scrapes.
