It's often said in aviation circles, any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. That certainly applies to the pilot of a Piper Cherokee that made an emergency landing on John B White Boulevard, Sunday evening just after 6PM in Spartanburg.
Several powerlines were damaged cutting electricity to just over 150 Duke Energy customers. A small fire near nose of the single engine plane was quickly extinguished.
The pilot and passenger were not injured. No word yet on what caused the plane to make that emergency landing.
