Police say an accidental shooting in the Upstate led to the arrest of one man and injured two children. The Spartanburg Police Department says, 20 year old Thomas Seay was arrested after he unintentionally discharged a gun, in the parking lot of the Quik Trip on West Main St. in Spartanburg.
The incident happened around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. Seay had been involved in a crash close by, he and the other driver then pulled into the QT parking lot. Seay reportedly reached for the shotgun under his front seat and it went off.
Two child family members were in the car and were injured. The 15 year old girl was shot in the leg and the 9 year old boy was hit in the neck. Both were taken to an area hospital and are expected to make full recoveries. Seay faces multiple weapons charges and two counts of unlawful neglect of a child."
