Police are searching for hit and run suspect in Western North Carolina after two pedestrians were hit, Tuesday night. The Asheville Police Department responded to the intersection of Patton and Louisiana Avenues, just after 11:30 PM.
Upon arrival, officers found two people that had been hit. One of them was killed in the crash, the other was injured and was transported to the hospital with the life threatening injuries. The deceased has been identified as 37 year old, Tyler Michael White.
Police say the driver of a Silver Mazda SUV swerved into the media and hit the two victims, before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110.
