
President Joe Biden visited the Upstate and Western North Carolina, Wednesday. Biden arrived at GSP airport around 145 yesterday afternoon. He then toured Western North Carolina via helicopter to survey the destruction.
Biden met with Governor Henry McMaster and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper. He also met with the mayors of Asheville, Greenville and Spartanburg. A briefing was held at The Bon Secours Wellness Arena, Wednesday afternoon. 4th District Congressman William Timmons was also on hand for the briefing and spoke during the event.

Biden announced that a 1,000 active duty soldiers will be deployed to the area to help with disaster relief efforts. Biden then went to Raleigh for a briefing. He's expected to visit Georgia and Florida in the coming days.
