A previously convicted felon is facing drug and weapons charges after a weekend track stop in Western North Carolina. The Asheville Police Department responded to a crash on Emma Road.
When officers arrived they were notified that the other driver swerved into oncoming traffic, caused the crash and then ran from the scene on foot. A passenger in the vehicle was then identified as LaDarrell Mashburn.
Mashburn was then arrested after drugs and a handgun were found inside the vehicle.
