Prisma Health holds virtual covid forum for second straight week

One of the state's largest health care systems held a virtual forum on covid-19 for the second straight week of the new year. During Prisma Health's virtual forum Thursday, the healthcare giant provided updates on the surge of the Omicron variant. Dr. Divya Ahuja is an infectious disease expert at Prisma Health in the Midlands. He says while the Omicron variant is not as severe as the Delta variant, it is considerably more contagious.
