Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a man accused of killing an Upstate woman. As we previously reported, 47 year old Crystal Dawn Rainey of Greenville was shot to death inside her vehicle in Greenwood County, this past August.
The following day, the suspect Joshua Nix was arrested in Charleston on charges of murder and a weapons violation. The 8th Circuit Solicitor's Office says they have filed notice to seek the death penalty in the case.
