A U.S. Congressman from South Carolina is calling for the Mayor of Charlotte's job.

5th District delegate Ralph Norman, a candidate for Governor of South Carolina, called for the Mayor of Charlotte to resign in response to her handling of the murder of an unarmed woman by a deranged lunatic.

Presently, tens of thousands of South Carolinians commute to the Charlotte area for work:

Norman said "We don't need more 'compassion' for sick and twisted criminals. They need jail sentences. And this one needs the death penalty. Mayor Lyles should resign. Her statements of concern for this assailant make her unfit to lead a major city."

Norman also said South Carolinians traveling to Charlotte while Mayor Lyles remains in office should beware.
