Any way ya slice it, this ain't good. The CDC is expanding a recall of charcuterie meat products being sold at Costco and Sam's Club, possibly tainted with salmonella.

On January 5, 2024, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recalled the Busseto brand Charcuterie Sampler, sold at Sam's Club. Now the CDC believes Fratelli Beretta brand Antipasto Gran Beretta, sold at Costco, could also be contributing to the ongoing salmonella outbreak.

Although South Carolina has not reported any KNOWN illness linked to the Charcuterie meats, more than 20 states have reported people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella, Ohio reporting the highest.

The CDC website says Investigators are working to determine if any additional products may be contaminated. In the meantime the Agency says do not eat the Busseto Brand or Fratelli Beretta brand Charcuterie, throw them out. Call your doctor if you are experiencing symptoms of Salmonella poisoning which include Diarrhea and a fever higher than 102°F and/or lasting more than 3 days, vomiting, dry mouth and dizziness when standing up.

The Busseto brand Charcuterie and Fratelli Beretta brand Antipasto recall extends to all products marked with a best-by date before June 13, 2024.
