A York County man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after a home invasion and shooting in Cherokee County. The 7th Circuit Solicitor's Office says 29 year old, Wardarious Donquese Brown was found guilty of attempted murder, armed robbery and 1st degree burglary and weapons violation.

The charges comes after an incident at a home in Blacksburg in late 2021. Court records say, Brown forced entry while armed with a pistol, grabbed a woman who lived there and fired shots at another occupant.

Brown then grabbed a woman's purse and fled the scene. He was later taken into custody. Brown had multiple prior felony convictions. He's been sentenced to life in the state prison system.
