A man accused of kidnapping a 9 year old girl in Oconee County over the weekend has been denied bond, at least for now. As we previously reported, Braelynn Balire was taken from her home in Salem around 1230AM, Sunday.
The suspect her uncle, 28 year old Zachery Steven Cosgrove reportedly stole a vehicle at the home and drove off with the girl. The two were found in Edgefield County more than 100 miles from her home.
The girl was found safe and Cosgrove was taken into custody. He's charged with kidnapping and grand larceny.
A judge denied bond for Cosgrove, Monday morning. He is set to appear before a Circuit Court Judge for a bond hearing at a later date.
