Trustees of South Carolina's biggest school district are granting pay raises for all teachers, including substitutes, without asking for an increase in education's share of Greenville County's tax funding. The board gave unanimous approval Monday night to the 982-million-dollar fiscal 2027 budget.
The annual salary raises for teachers will increase by twenty-seven hundred dollars. Substitute teachers, who are becoming increasingly difficult to find, will get a six percent pay raise. All other personnel will get a nearly 4 percent raise.
