The all clear has been given after a reported threat at Spartanburg Methodist College, Monday morning.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a report that a student was on campus with a gun. The campus was locked down for a period of time and buildings were cleared.
After investigating, the Sheriff's Office says they determined that nobody was ever seen on campus with a gun. Apparently students reported overhearing a rumor that was someone was on campus armed. No credible threat was found and deputies left the scene just prior to 1 PM, Monday afternoon.
