
The suspect in an upstate kidnapping case remains at large, but his identity has now been released. As we previously reported, the Laurens Police Department responded Saturday to a reported kidnapping.
Investigators determined that the female victim had been abducted at gunpoint. The suspect 26 year old, Jordan Trevion Sweeney reportedly took the victim from the front yard of a home and fled the scene.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office got involved and the victim was located in safely Simpsonville and Sweeney's vehicle was also found. He reportedly fled on foot and led deputies on a chase.
Sweeney was able to get away and he was last seen in the New Harrison Bridge Road of Simpsonville. Anyone with info on his whereabouts should call 911. A photo of the suspect can be found on our website, 989WORD.Com
