A reward has been announced in connection to the capture of a teen shooting suspect in Western North Carolina. The Asheville Police Department is searching for 16 year old Danvonte Pearson.
He is wanted in connection to a shooting at a home on Atkinson Street back in April. The U.S. Marshals have offered a 3,000 dollar reward for info that leads to Pearson's arrest.
A victim was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle to be treated for injuries suffered in the shooting. Another suspect 20 year old Lamon Smith Jr. has already been arrested in connection to the shooting. Both Smith and Pearson are charged with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and other crimes.
Smith is in custody and is being held without bond in Buncombe County. Pearson is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with info on his whereabouts should call the US Marshals at 828-767-1953.
