A special guest speaker appearance at the 4th District Republican Club Commerce Club Breakfast in Greenville Friday morning.
Senator Tim Scott spoke at the event as a guest speaker, discussing immigration as Title 42 expired last night.
“If you don’t control your border, you don’t control your country. It’s kind of that simple,” Scott said. He explained Title 42’s expiration is expected to increase immigration into the United States by roughly 50 percent
Scott also discussed education and his interest in the success he says he's seen from charter schools.
“If we do the right thing for our kids today, we are doing the right thing for our nation tomorrow. The easiest way to get there is to provide parents with a choice so their kids have a chance.”
Scott also explained the difference between public and charter school that he has seen in DC, particularly the nearly significantly higher graduation rates.
The Senator is expected to announce a 2024 bid for the Presidency at an event in his home district later this month.
