
A Seneca man is in custody after reportedly shooting at a woman and a deputy there, Thursday night.
The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says 55 year old, Michael Wayne Witt is charged with attempted murder, assault on an officer, aggravated breach of peace and other crimes.
Captain Jimmy Watt said in a statement that a deputy responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home on White Harbour Road near Keowee School Road. Witt then fired on the responding deputy.
Back up arrived and Witt was eventually tased and taken into custody. The woman who made the original call told deputies that Witt had fired a shot at her and at another point had held a gun to her head.
The incident remains under investigation by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
