A former host here at 98.9 WORD and Netflix Series star be laid to rest later this week. As we previously reported, 45 year old, Rob "Rabbit" Pitts died after a battle with stomach cancer.
Pitts hosted the show "Hot Rods and Happy Hour" here and was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School. Pitts later landed the lead role in the Netflix show "Tex Mex Motors".
The visitation for Pitts will be Friday from 9AM-11AM at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley. A car show will be held at the same time, as a fitting tribute to the car guru. A service will then be held there starting at 11AM.
