Should fentanyl traffickers face a possible life sentence?

North Carolina officials say that overdose deaths in 2021 were up over 20%. South Carolina had a 25% increase in fatal overdoses from that same year.  Given the deadly risk of the drug and coming on the heels of a large seizure Fentanyl in Western North Carolina this past weekend, should their be a possible life sentence for fentanyl traffickers?
