Recently, a group of workers at an Upstate coffee shop decided to unionize. Employees at the Starbucks on Pelham Road in Greenville became the first location in the state to join the Starbucks Workers United Union. The decision came after an 8-1 vote. Traditionally, Southern states have been non-union and Northern states have been pro-union. With the economic climate as it is for the working class, should that be reconsidered? One major issue facing working class Americans face is for the most part, wages have stayed the same, while the cost of living has increased vastly over the last 6 months.
