Over the weekend, President Biden and his wife were seen dining at a restaurant in the D.C. area. The mayor of D.C. had re-issued a mask order for the city back in the summer. While eating at the Georgetown area restaurant, photos surfaced of President Biden violating the mask order. The order from the Mayor , states that those knowingly violating the ordinance are subject to a fine of up to $1,000. The order has a provision that excludes federal government personnel, but that provision states the exclusion is while they are on duty.
