Tensions are mounting in Ukraine concerning the situation between them and Russia. Ukraine has declared a state of emergency, as Russia has ordered troops into the country's eastern region. Issues between the two go back for some time. In 2014, Russia sent troops to invade Ukraine. Many elected officials in the U.S. have weighed in with their thoughts on the crisis. Yesterday, U.S. Senator from South Carolina Tim Scott said " Putin’s invasion should be met with unified opposition by the United States and our allies. Russia’s heightened aggression against the territorial integrity of Ukraine is a clear violation of international law. America and its international allies must stand up to Putin and make clear we’re committed to protecting sovereignty and democracy.” It sounds like Senator Scott would support deploying U.S. troops to the Ukraine. What do you think? Should the U.S. deploy troops to the Ukraine in the coming days and weeks?
