An Upstate deputy was involved in a fatal shooting over the weekend. SLED is investigating after they say a Laurens County Deputy shot a suspect when responding to a call. The incident happened around 8 Pm Saturday night on Old Stable Lane in Laurens.
SLED says that an armed woman was shot and killed, no deputies were injured in the incident. No further information was made available as of the time of this report. The SLED investigation is standard protocol in officer involved shootings.
