South Carolinians will cast their vote today in Midterm elections. There's many important races on the ballot today, statewide. In the race for the Governor's seat, incumbent Henry McMaster looks for another term in Columbia. He is being challenged by Democrat Joe Cunningham and Libertarian Bruce Reeves.
Incumbent Secretary Of State Mark Hammond seeks re-election , he is being opposed by Rosemounda Peggy Butler. State Treasurer Curtis Loftis is facing Sarah Work in his bid for re-election. Attorney General Alan Wilson and Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom are both Republicans running unopposed.
The Superintendent Of Education race is expected to be an interesting one, as the Republican nominee Ellen Weaver faces Patricia Mickel and Lisa Ellis. The winner will replace Molly Spearman who decided not to seek re-election.
In the Commissioner Of Agriculture race, incumbent Hugh Weather faces challengers Chris Nelums and David Edmond. In the U.S. Senate Race, Republican Tim Scott faces controversial Democratic challenger Krystle Matthews.
