What started as a search for a stabbing suspect in Anderson County turned out to be a hoax and the alleged victim is now facing charges. The Iva Police Department responded to a reported stabbing on Park Drive, last month.
What police thought was the victim was located and was airlifted to a local hospital. Police began to search for a suspect using police dogs, but nothing came from it. After an investigation officers determined that the stabbing was self inflicted and did not happen the way it was initially reported.
The person who was originally thought to be the victim is now being charged for making a false police report, The IVA Police Department has not released the identity of the suspect, as of this time.
