A state legislator is facing charges after a traffic stop in the Upstate. The Oconee County Sheriff's Office says a driver was stopped on Sandifer Boulevard near Armstrong Road, just after 2AM Tuesday for failure to maintain their lane.
The driver was identified as Adam Lewis Duncan, who serves as the State Representative for District 2 in Oconee County. Duncan was charged with DUI after he reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer.
The arrest report says Duncan showed signs of impairment. Duncan has represented District Two since first being elected in 2024.
