New study says SC leads nation in speed related traffic deaths

South Carolina Highways continue to be "die-ways", according to a recent study. Research data from Forbes Advisor says, the Palmetto State has the highest number of speed related traffic fatalities in the nation.

The study says 46% of fatal traffic crashes across the state are caused by speeding. In recent years, South Carolina has been one of the most dangerous states to drive in, ranking 2nd for most fatal traffic crashes, per capita and in the top 10 for overall number of traffic deaths.

The report from Forbes says the state's speed related deaths have climbed 11% over the last decade.
