A suspect has been arrested following the discovery of a body behind a church in Pickens county over the weekend.
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office says the body of a woman, later identified as 21-year-old Kaitlyn Mack, was found behind the Fellowship Hall of Tabor United Methodist Church in Easley Saturday morning.
Mack was discovered unresponsive just after 4:30am with head injuries, but EMS was unable to revive her. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Deputies identified and interviewed a person of interest, 25-year-old Zachary Roach, who they later arrested and charged with murder in connection with the incident.
