A third suspect in a murder case that led to an international manhunt for one of the suspects, is now in custody. It seems like the plot of a Hollywood Story, a man is killed at his home and one of the suspects is picked up years later in Europe.
However, police say that is indeed a true story from right here in the Upstate. Now, the man accused of committing the murder has been charged. Douglas Gilbert has been charged with the murder of 29 year old, Connor Lloyd.
Lloyd was shot at his home in Lyman in 2021 and later died at the hospital. Two others have already been charged in the case. Cynthia Wilson was the 1st arrested, she's charged with accessory before and after the fact and conspiracy to commit murder.
Her daughter, Kendra Wilson was arrested earlier this month in the Netherlands on the same charges. Gilbert is charged with murder and a weapons violation.
Investigators say that the victim and Kendra Wilson shared a child together and that Gilbert is an acquaintance of Kendra Wilson. She is still in custody in the Netherlands, awaiting extradition.
