The suspect who admitted to posting death threats towards Congresswoman Nancy Mace online will avoid prison time. 20 year old, Samuel Theodore Cain pleaded guilty to making the threat on X. Cain is a biological male who identified as a woman named "Roxie Wolfe".
In the now deleted post Cain threatened to assassinate Mace by shooting her. In a victim statement, Mace claimed that Cain made the same type of threats towards her while speaking with a jail house informant.
Cain has been sentenced to house arrest for two and a half years and will be on probation for five years following the house arrest.
