A suspect is in custody after leading deputies on a chase in North Georgia, Thursday. The Hart County Sheriff's Office responded to a home in Bowersville after a report that a man had deliberately hit a woman with his vehicle.
The suspect, Agustin Paz Cortes had fled the scene in a Jeep prior to deputies arriving. Later the Jeep was spotted and Cortes led deputies on a chase. He was eventually pulled over in the Hartwell area.
Cortes then reportedly resisted arrest and deputies used a taser to subdue and take him into custody. He is charged with aggravated assault, hit and run, DUI and multiple other crimes
