A suspect is dead after a barricaded standoff in the Midlands. The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office to a domestic dispute at a home in Elgin, around noon Thursday.
When Deputies arrived the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and a Deputy, then barricaded himself inside the home. A standoff of nearly 3 hours ensued.
The suspect 78 year old, Daniel Leonard Trobaugh of Elgin was found dead from what is believed to be a self inflicted gunshot wound.
There were no other injuries reported in the incident.
