A suspect is dead after being shot at a Greenville apartment complex. Greenville County dispatchers got a call around 11:30PM Tuesday regarding a woman that had been assaulted at Poinsett View Apartments.
Upon arrival deputies encountered an armed suspect and a deputy fired at the suspect, who died at the scene. The suspect has not been publicly identified, as of the time of this report.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office says, the deputy will be placed on paid administrative leave, pending an internal review. SLED is investigating the incident, which is standard protocol.
