A pursuit with Spartanburg County deputies ends in a deadly crash. The Sheriff’s Office says, deputies were trying to stop a vehicle with a wanted burglary suspect inside when the driver refused to stop.
The chase began and continued on Highway 221, also known as Chesnee Highway, where the fleeing vehicle collided with two other cars near Bryant Road. The driver of the fleeing vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Occupants of the other vehicles were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash
