Monday, an Anderson county deputy attempted to pull over a Ford pickup towing a camper for dangerous driving and an expired tag. However, the driver sped up, continuing to swerve, hitting a stop sign at the intersection of Concord Road and Cayman Way.
Other deputies attempted to block upcoming roads but before the suspect reached Pearman Dairy Road, the driver hit another pick up truck, causing both to crash along Whitehall Road.
The camper overturned following that collision, striking a mini van. The suspect fled on foot but deputies were able to take him into custody. The suspect was taken AnMed for evaluation.
24 year old, Alston Jordan is charged with Failure to Stop for Blue Lights, Assault and Battery High and Aggravated, Hit and Run, and multiple traffic violations.
The Highway Patrol will have additional separate charges.
